ISO-TECH has participated with great success in this year’s edition of the ÖKOPROFIT-project (“Ecoprofit”) in the Borken district. A whole range of measures and investments help to save significant amounts of energy and to permanently reduce CO2 emissions.
As part of the ÖKOPROFIT project, which is organized annually by the Borken district and the Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft for the district of Borken mbH, companies are introducing a pragmatic and at the same time highly efficient environmental management system. During the twelve-month project phase, individual measures to improve resource efficiency will be analyzed, implementation steps defined and subsequently implemented.
As part of the project, ISO-TECH has invested over € 250,000 in the modernization of two extraction systems, which now save more than 190,000 kWhel of energy and around 60 tonnes of CO2 per year. The renewal of compressed air production in plant 2 of the company also made it possible to permanently avoid another 30 tonnes of CO2 per year. Additional measures such as the improvement of waste separation, the installation of a new heating system and process optimization to reduce the cooling water volume led to a further increase in resource efficiency.
While the actual project phase is now completed, ISO-TECH uses the conclusions of the ÖKOPROFIT project to further optimize the ongoing environmental management processes in the company. Additional information on the environmental commitment of ISO-TECH can be found on our company page.
